As I was driving past this house, I noticed that they had a bunch of very realistic deer statues all over their front lawn. I slowed down and started to say "Look at how real those deer look--wait, they ARE real!" As I was in the middle of my sentence, one of the deer looked up at my car (statues don't do that!). This house had 9 deer in it's front yard! 9 deer! So, of course, we had to stop and take pictures! I almost always carry my camera with me, but, of course, I left it at home this day. So, we were limited to taking pictures with our cell phones. I wasn't able to zoom in, so it's really hard to see the deer in some of the shots.
Really hard to see, but they are all across the front of the house. There's a group of them right at the front corner of the house. |
Again, hard to see, but they are all in front of the house. |
The one behind the rock is still there, but the other deer ran down the driveway toward the back yard, so he's now in front of the barn. |
Awww, I love deer! My in-laws live near a forest preserve, so they always have them chillin out by their house, but not that many!
ReplyDeleteVery cool... We have lots of deer in my neighborhood too :)
ReplyDeleteOne day while looking out my window a huge herd (is it called a herd?) went running by... I was glad I had my camera, because no one would have believed how many there were all at once!

Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteWhen I click on the photos it enlarges them and it is amazing to see such a large number of deer on a residential lot!
I laughed about your camera - I always have mine with me too, one never know when this kind of opportunity will arrive. But, I too, have l forgotten mine and had to resort to the phone.
Good photos nonetheless!
And...thanks for dropping over to my site and adding yourself as a Follower - glad to have you on board. I hope I'll see you around.
I'm enjoying your posting wit - you're funny!
Cheers, Jenny

I like Jenny's suggestion to click on the photos - I could see the deer that way too. Too bad you didn't have a camera, but what a great memory. I was sent here from your mom's blog. I am doing the challenge too.
